Project description
The project will rehabilitate Lawrence Expressway between US-101 (Bayshore Freeway) and SR-237 (Southbay Freeway). Work will include: cold-in-place recycling (CIR); hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay; repair of sidewalk and curb & gutter; upgrade of existing pedestrian curb ramps to comply with current Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards; adjustment of existing manholes/monuments/utilities to new grade; installation of new inductive loops for vehicles and bicycles; placement of thermoplastic pavement striping and markings and roadside signs, installation of new concrete barrier and crash cushions at the Lakedale pedestrian overcrossing.
